Beaumont Researchers Predicting Arthritis with MRI

A new Beaumont research study suggests that magnetic resonance imaging may be used to detect early degenerative changes in knee cartilage leading to arthritis, even when there are no symptoms. These findings will be presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons 2011 Annual Meeting from February 15-19 in San Diego, Calif.
